Law n° 48-15 relating to the regulation of the electricity sector and the establishment of National Electricity Regulatory Authority ensures the proper functioning of the free market for electricity produced from renewable sources and regulates the access of auto-producers to the national electricity transmission grid with the right to access it.

La loi n° 38-16 modifiant et complétant l’article 2 du dahir n° 1-63-226 du 14 rabii I 1383, (5 août 1963) portant création de l’Office national de l’électricité.
Ces textes règlementaires ont pour objet la réglementation des activités de production, du transport et de la distribution de l’électricité. Ils précisent aussi les entités auxquelles sont confiées ces activités.
