The board of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) held its third meeting, under the chairmanship of Mr. Abdellatif BARDACH, on June 24th 2021. The Board welcomed the recommendations of the Special Commission on the New Development Model (NMD) and the importance given to ANRE in the national energy landscape. Through its President, Council, Committee and operational team, ANRE took the opportunity to affirm its full mobilization towards the success of the New Development Model, under the high Guidance of His Majesty the King, May God Assist Him, and the deployment of its recommendations, especially on the energy field. Considering all the implications of the New Development Model on ANRE’s strategic action plan, the Board decided to set up an internal committee, chaired by the President of the Board, dedicated to the follow-up of the modalities for aligning the latter with the Model’s recommendations. The Board also reviewed the progress of the Legal, Technical and Financial Working Committees, which have been active since November 2020, to fruition important projects in the energy ecosystem, such as the separation of ONEE’s transmission activity from its other activities and the setting of tariffs for the use of electricity grids.
