As President of ANRE and the Mediterranean Energy Regulators Association (MEDREG), Mr. Bardach was appointed as an honorary member of the executive committee for this event, alongside high-ranking representatives of leading strategic institutions such as the Arab League, the Union for the Mediterranean, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

In his speech, Mr. Bardach emphasized Morocco’s remarkable progress, which, under the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, has already achieved 40% of its energy mix from renewable sources, with the goal of surpassing 52% by 2030. He highlighted that this success is the result of an integrated approach, combining regulatory and institutional reforms, technological innovation, and public-private partnerships. He also stressed the strategic importance of cooperation within the MENA region, endowed with vast natural resources, to fully harness the potential of renewable energies such as solar and wind.

In conclusion, Mr. Bardach reminded the audience that “The time to act is now. Together, we can build a clean, resilient, and prosperous energy future for future generations,” he concluded with determination, inviting decision-makers, regulators, and the private sector to work hand in hand to realize this vision.
