In accordance with the provisions of Article 16 of Law N°. 48-15 on the regulation of the electricity sector and the creation of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority, as amended and supplemented, ANRE has the mission to determine the tariff for the use of electrical networks for distribution. In this context, the Council of the ANRE, held on February 19th, 2025, took a decision determining the tariff for the use of medium-voltage distribution networks for the regulation period 2025-2027.

The tariff for the use of medium-voltage distribution networks is the result of a long process of broad consultations, both direct and public. This process has helped the ANRE to develop a tariff structure based on a methodology that has been widely discussed before it was defined.
This tariff constitutes a new building block for the tariff system designed under the provisions of Law N°. 48.15. It will contribute to ensuring fair, transparent and non-discriminatory access to medium-voltage distribution networks while promoting effective control, especially from an economic point of view.
