Cairo, 26th November 2024 - The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) took part in the 2024 Inaugural Energy Regulators Conference, organized by the African Forum for Utility Regulators and the Arab Forum for Electricity Regulators (AERF) on November 25 and 26 at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
This significant event aimed to foster collaboration between African and Arab countries in advancing the electricity sector, with a strong emphasis on transitioning to renewable energy and ensuring the sustainability of energy resources.
The conference featured a diverse program of sessions led by prominent speakers from across Africa and the Arab world, including representatives from ANRE, who contributed to discussions on key topics such as regulatory tools for microgrids, tariffication, the integration of distributed energy resources, and the role of electric vehicles in shaping energy markets.
