In accordance with the provisions of article 15 of law 48-15, ANRE’s mission is to set the tariff for use of the national transmission grid. In this context, ANRE’s Board met on Monday 5th February 2024 and unanimously adopted a decision setting the tariffs for the access and usage of the national transmission grid for the regulatory period from the 1st March 2024 to 28 February 2027.
This decision marks a process that began in January 2022 with the launch of the project of tariff methodology, followed by its publication on 21st December 2022. This process also included several consultation meetings and a public consultation to gather feedback from the industry stakeholders.
The tariffs have thus been established based on the new tariff methodology, which aims to enhance the services provided by the national electricity transmission system operator, promote security of supply, and stimulate performance. ANRE’s aim is to strike a fair balance between the quality of services provided on one hand and the tariffs paid by network users on the other.
