ANRE chairs the 7th General Assembly of the French Speaking Network of Energy Regulators in Paris

Paris, 26th November 2024 – Mr. Abdellatif Bardach, President of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) and President of the French Speaking Network of Energy Regulators (RegulaE.Fr), inaugurated the 7th General Assembly and workshop, held in Paris from the 26th to 28th November 2024. This significant event brought together presidents of member energy regulatory authorities, representatives of the European Commission, and key stakeholders in the region’s energy sector.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Bardach highlighted the major challenges facing the energy sector today while emphasizing the opportunities within the Francophone region, particularly those on the African continent. Quoting the inspiring words of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, “Africa is a land of solutions, a continent rich in human and natural potential, but which must mobilize its collective energy to transform its challenges into opportunities,” he went on to spotlight Morocco’s significant achievements in energy transition, accomplished under the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him.

The President of ANRE concluded his speech by energizing RegulaE.Fr members, urging them to intensify collaboration, share experiences, and remain at the forefront of technological innovations, particularly in the promising field of green hydrogen.

This momentum aligns with ANRE’s commitment to strengthening and promoting regional and international cooperation. By uniting Francophone regulators around shared objectives, ANRE plays a vital role in exchanging best practices, building capacities, and developing sustainable solutions tailored to national realities.
