ANRE sends a strong signal to international investors by participating in the 8th edition of the Powering Africa Summit 2022 in Washington DC, USA

The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) participated in the 8th edition of the Powering Africa Summit, organized from 16-18 March 2022 in Washington DC in the United States. The summit’s goal is to gather key players from North America with Ministerial and Governmental participants from across Africa to drive energy developments on the continent.

On March 17, 2022, Mr. Abdellatif Bardach, President of ANRE, took part in a round table behind closed doors bringing together the presidents and representatives of the regulators of the countries of The Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique and the Association of United States Regulatory Services Commissioners (NARUC). The parties discussed cost-reflective tariffs and the creation of regulatory environments to enable the deployment of renewable energy.
ANRE also participated in an interactive discussion on the energy sector in Morocco where stakeholders and investors discussed how the Kingdom of Morocco implements and supports energy projects while disseminating opportunities partnership in the sector.
