The President of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE), Mr. Zouhair Chorfi, received Mr. Mark Bowman, Vice-President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), on 19th of June 2025 at ANRE headquarters, as part of a high-level mission to the Kingdom of Morocco.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 53 of Law N°. 48- on the regulation of the electricity sector and the creation of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority, as amended and supplemented, ANRE has the mission to approve the accounting unbundling of the activities of the ONEE. In this context, the Council of the ANRE, held on February 19th, 2025, took a decision approving the accounting unbundling of the activities of the ONEE.
The Council of the ANRE, held on February 19th, 2025, deliberated a decision determining the tariff for the use of medium-voltage distribution networks for the period from March 1st, 2025 to February 28th, 2027.
In implementation of the decision of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority N°. 02/24 regarding the determination of the tariff for the use of the national electrical transmission network, the Council of the ANRE, held on February 19th, 2025 adopted a decision to update that tariff. This tariff (TURT) is set at 6.68 centimes per kilowatt hour starting from March 1st, 2025 and the compensation of ancillary services (TSS) at the amount of 6.64 centimes per kilowatt hour starting from the same period.
Rabat, 30th January 2025 - The Board of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) unanimously approved the national electricity system's capacity to receive electricity from renewable sources for the next five years: 2025 - 2029.
