ANRE contributes by 2 million Dirhams to the Special EarthquakeFund

The Council of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) held an extraordinary meeting on September 18th, 2023, at the institution’s headquarters in Rabat, following the earthquake which struck certain areas of our country and , in particular, the Haouz’s region, on September 8th, causing enormous human and material damage, including to infrastructure, public buildings and homes.
In these difficult circumstances for our country, the President and members of the Council as well as all ANRE employees present to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve him, to the victims’ families and to the entire Moroccans, the sorrowful expression of their condolences, imploring God the Almighty, to cover our fellow citizens who died on this occasion with his infinite mercy, to accept them as martyrs in his paradise and to heal the physical and psychological traumas of the injured and survivors by giving them the strength and patience to overcome the consequences of this natural disaster.
And because cataclysms and other calamities are always opportunities which reveal the essence of humans and the nature of the links which unite the people and their leaders as well as the different components of the population, the Haouz’s earthquake was a new opportunity seen by the Moroccans, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, may God keep Him as protector and safe refuge for His subjects, stand up, as one man, to bring immediate aid and consolation to the victims, this who
has been the subject of consideration and admiration around the world.
While affirming its pride in the exceptional outpouring of solidarity of the Moroccans and the wisdom and relevance of the instructions and decisions of His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, to take care of the immediate and future concerns of His subjects concerned and those of the reconstruction of the disaster areas, the ANRE’s Council, wishing to participate in the national effort aimed at applying the royal instructions as soon as possible and under the best possible conditions, decided, unanimously, to contribute to the special fund created, for this purpose, with an amount of two million dirhams, in addition to the contributions of all the components of the institution
